december daily - the end

Olin tulostanut kuvat ihan viimeiseen päivään saakka, mutta kuten jo aikaisemmin kerroin, tämän tekeminen otti lopussa lujille, niin päätin laittaa loppukuun kuvat kirjekuoreen viimeiselle sivulle. Nyt ne ovat tallessa ja mie sain albumin valmiiksi!

I had printed all the photos until the last day of December, but as I told you earlier, I had some hard times doing this at the end, so I decided to put the rest of the photos in the envelope at the last page. So now I have them safe and sound and I also finished the album!

december daily - the beginning

Näytin teille jo aikaisemmin minun December Dailyni kannen ja pari ensimmäistä sivua. Albumi on ollut jo jonkin aikaa valmis, mutta mun piti ottaa siihen vähän etäisyyttä ennen kuin sain sen kuvattua. Oli nimittäin todella työläs albumi! Juuri nyt tuntuu, että tänä vuonna en tämmöistä tee, mut never say never :)

I showed you earlier my December Daily cover and few of the first pages. The album has been done for a while now, but I needed to take some distance from it before I took pictures of it. I mean this was a lot of work! Right now I feel that I'm not going to do this again this year, but never say never :)

Albumini nimi on "Not your average December daily". Tämä siksi, ettei se sisällä mitään perinteikästä joulumeininkiä. Ei ole pipareita, koristeluita, torttuja tai kynttilöitä. Se oli semmonen joulukuu mulla :)

The name of the album is "Not your average December daily". This is because it doesn't have anything traditional Christmas happening in it. No gingerbread cookies, no decorations, no "joulutorttu's" or candles. That was my December this time :)

Tässä oli nyt päivät 1.-12. ja myöhemmin tällä viikolla jatketaan. Oikein hyvää maanantaita :)

December Daily

Ihastelin viime vuonna herkullisen näköisiä DD -albumeita muiden blogeista ja kuvapalveluista, joten en voinut vastustaa kiusausta, kun SODAlicious:lta tuli DD -kitti myyntiin!! Albumin tarkoituksena on tallentaa joulukuun päivät albumiksi. Jotkut tekevät albumin 25.päivään saakka ja jotkut ihan kuun loppuun. Itse en ole vielä päättänyt kuinka monta päivää mun albumiin tulee.

Last year I was like WAU with all the delicious DD albums I found from blogs, so I couldn't resist when SODAlicious published their DD collection!! Purpose of this album is to document days of december. Some make it until the 25th and some all the way to the end of the month. I haven't yet decided how many days my album will be.

Kitissä on kaikki tarpeellinen, mutta tottakai lisään sekatekniikka jokaiselle sivulle, tuttuun tapaan. Tässä on ensin levitetty gessoa pohjalle, sitten suihketta sabluunan läpi ja viimeiseksi kohopastaa ja akryylimaalia sabluunan läpi. Jujuna tässä kannessa on tuo kalvo, johon leimasin kuusia, liimasin kehyksen ja tarrakirjamet. Tältä albumi näyttää ilman kalvoa:

Collection contains all the necessary, but of course I add some mixed media techniques on the pages, like I always do. First I added some gesso, then mist thru stencil and finally some modeling paste and acrylic paint thru stencil. The catch of this front page is that there is see-thru-sheet on top with stamping, frame and few words. This is how it looks without that sheet:

Mulla ei ole vielä puoliakaan sivuista tehtynä, mutta kaikki kuvat olen valinnut. Joten taidanpa tietää mitä teen seuraavat pari päivää :)

I have less than half of the pages done, but all the pictures are chosen. So I guess I know what I'll be doing the next couple of days :)
